The weight thing is what I'm concerned about too. She doesn't finish her hay. Should I up the grain, the calf manna or the beet pulp? She gets fed the grain stuff once a day, maybe I should feed it to her 2x/day?

Splitting her feed into twice a day is always beneficial. How much is she getting of each?

She gets 1/2 lb of sweet feed, 1/2 lb of alfalfa/oat pellets, 1/2 lb of calf manna and a lb and 1/2 of beet pulp. She gets this at night. Plus a flake of alfalfa hay in the morning and at night. Not sure what the flake weighs. Just went down to feed she did not eat all of her hay from last night. So I didn't give her anymore hay.

Eleven months is the approx. gestation period, but horses can go up to a month late.

I would try splitting the feed up into two feedings. How much do you think she weighs and I'll figure it out for you. It sounds like she's not meeting protein needs. However not sure how much protein Calf Manna has. She's defitnely not getting her calories is her hay intake is so minimal. Beet Pulp will add calories. Alfalfa will add protein. Are we safe to say she weighs around 1100lbs?

Wow

after looking at pictures you have awhile , IMO ...from past experience her teets are no where near , foal time ...her belly may sag but it not very big ,,I say a few more months maybe May... Unless I missed other more recent photos.... I wished I had taken pictures of Morgan 1 week before due then 2 days she was waxing then 1 day she wa actually streaming milk then bam baby ....teets are a tell all sign .. and the tail movement , being squishy .....good luck

Yes we are safe to say 1100lbs with baby. She is 15.1 hh and last summer I measured her and the weight came out to be about 958lbs.

Katylynn,

Wow I'd bet she's close on protein then. Does it say how much fat it has? If you don't know I've got to go to TSC today and I'll look while I am there.

Is your sweet feed 14% protein?

Her udder development has decreased since the 7th till yesterday is it the pictures or can you tell?
