I think it's Arabians4ME's test. When they get close to giving birth, the muscles and ligaments in the croup and tail get really loose, you can bend the tail very easily up over their back (lord don't break it though ).

Have you talk to the vet about some replacement colustrum(sp?). I know some mares bag at the last moment but I would be worried about her bag developement. My maiden started bagging at about 6 weeks before her due date. Good luck and I am sending out lots of baby vibes

Thank you for keeping us all updated. I know its kinda getting repetitive, but I think its very educational- so thank you for making all the threads. I plan on breeding my girl one day (Well, actually I change my mind every time I think about it) But, it has been very educational for me and I have been following it like an addict .

I do have colostrum replacement on hand and if she has it at night and has no milk I do have the phone number to the feed guy and he will get me some foal-lac powder. Thanks for the baby vibes.

Something I have observed...please correct me if I am wrong...but, you might want to recheck your calculations...I just might be figuring it wrong myself...

But, according to a gestation table for horses...IF we use March 6 of 2006 as a expose date, then 340 days from that is Feburary 9, 2007. We know that a horse can be 10 days late. So, she is pastdue the 10 day mark for sure 3 days...Oh, this just makes me more anxious to see the little tike!

So, it just may be February when it gets here! Does that help? Ugh...
