Way less out of place than you would of been in your very dirty or black breeches No worries just ride your bu.tt off and you'll be fine.

Why are you not supposed to ride in certain breeches?I'm new to this and I was looking at a pair of Devon Aires and read this thread.I would like to do jumping. Is there a certain brand that I should be looking for/at?

I'm not sure what they look like, but the new thing, or it was when I last showed, was to wear the tan colored side zip breeches. The beige (greenish) color was going out of style as was front zip (supposedly side zip gives you a cleaner look.) Before you buy, the best thing to do is attend (watch) a big show in the area and see what everyone is wearing.
It shouldn't matter that much if you wear a $500 helmet or a $59 one, but in showing, style is thought to add points and the more you fit in, or better you look, the more likely you are to earn higher points or get noticed and stand out in a good way.
