I volunteer at this horse rescue and on the 28th they brought in a rescue and her buddy. Take a look at her story...it is so sad. (warning there is graphic hoof neglect pics). If you can make a donation over pay pal(or send a check) it would be much needed! Her farrier care and treatment is going to be spendy!

Holy cow!

so sad. how can people not call a farrier! I see a lil flare and I'm on top of it!

but what a cute lil pair? that pony is adorable! and what a nice face on that mare!

I just don't understand how someone could look at that every day and not do anything about it, and be able to sleep at night.

Oh, I know...I wouldn't be able to live with myself if either of my girls hooves looked like that!

yeah the horses that just came into the rescue that i volunteer at they are even worse there are pics on the post.

OMG!! That is absolutely horrible!!! I can't believe that someone could do that to a horse!

The pony is doing SO good! She is comfortable again(well, kinda) and has stopped laying down as much (she laid down only getting up to get food/water for the first 5 days)
