With the 'owner' claiming publicly that he is worth 'millions'--my feeling is that insurance will be paid out.

Hopefully, the other handler took him and he will show up no worse for wear, I just don't think so.....this poor horse.

After reading this thread, I googled Capone and saw where he is reputed to be worth millions in several places. Surely no one would harm or geld that beautiful, talented stallion. What a loss that would be. I'm really hoping the lady who had him leased is just collecting some straws. Since she had him leased at one time, wouldn't any semen she has be able to be used w/o a problem? If she is involved, could it somehow be proved that it was collected later after her lease? And, in those lease situations, is she allowed to continue breeding with frozen semen even after her lease is up? I don't know the legalities of that. It has to be the same people involved with this whole sordid mess. No one else could expect to benefit except to hold him for ransom. I'm really hoping he is with someone who cares for him and is looking out for his well-being.

Yes, I think so, it was a racehorse, but I can't remember the name.

The race horse in Europe comes to mind. They made a movie about it and he was never recovered. Can't think of his name.

Wow..... just, wow

I am honestly speechless, this is all just... absurd, stupid, immature, by all those involved with Capone's ownership/breeding management.

Penny, I would demand frozen if they have it. They owe you a breeding, period. You can breed whenever, but they owe you that much. I'm so sorry this is such a drama...best of luck with Yeager.

Poor Capone, what a horrible end for a beautiful horse.
That's what I was wondering.. Inside job anyone?

Suzy I feel so bad for you, you have gone through one heck of a journey with this! With For Paragons passing my hopes and dreams of having one of his babies went out the window, I feel for ya!
