I put depends on where I am riding, but thats not exactly true..Its just the one that fit best. It really depends on alot..I use to ALWAYS wear a helmet..no matter what, but now, if i dont feel like it, and im just going on an easy trail, I dont. For instance, monday I rode whiskey and Katie rode george and neither of us wore helmets..we only had one to begin with but we decided not to at all. All we did was walk and I did a little bit of a jog/trot thing with whiskey, but I love not having one on. When I am in the ring, or planning to gallop/jump, or go into a scary place with whiskey, I wear one..I always wear one with Honey cuz we are still working on the spooking issue.

So I guess for me it depends on where I'm riding, what horse I'm riding, and What I am doing that day.

I answered sometimes, depends on the horse, but that is really not a wise decision on my part.

Helmets save lives and they should be worn when your riding horses, no matter if your horse is "bomb" proof or not. Im going to start remembering to use one at all times.

I always do. As I said in the other thread I like keeping my brain together and not splattered everywhere.

hossluva, you copycat! lol, j/k. I'm not a full member yet so I can't put polls out yet. :outs::
I put always, first of all b/c I have to for riding class (and I don't have my own horse) and 2nd of all even if I had the choice I still would. It makes me feel safe and I don't want to take the chance of getting a concussion if I fall off.

As I said on the other helmet thread:

I'll never wear one because it's my choice not to. I don't think they're necessary, that's just my opinion. My boyfriend rides bulls and lots of my other friends do and saddle bronc and bareback. Helmets are extremely RARE in that too. And head injuries are fairly rare in it as well. I just don't want to, nobody around here does. It's a personal choice, I would hate to live somewhere where it would be pushed. Thank god I don't.
