Odd head carriage

Pache has been out of a bit for several years and I'm working on getting him back into one. However, he tilts his head funny. Any ideas? I've thought it could be his teeth, which ARE being done Friday. He does do it some with his bitless bridle also, so I'm not 100% sure its his teeth. You can't see it in the pic but his mouth is slightly open when he does this. He use to toss his head really bad when he was frustrated or wasn't getting his way but he has quit that, is this our new temper tantrum antic?

sounds like teeth to me, but its possible something you're doing or the bridle could be irritating him...

Looks like something horses do when they mouth or tongue their teeth. I wouldn't be surprised if the problem disappears after having his teeth done.

I REALLY pray we are all right on that, b/c I'm clueless if that isn't the case.

Let us know how it goes. I've got a few theories if that isn't the case.

My horse did that and i found out her atlas (the bone near/at the poll in the spine) was out of place. Had a chiropractor come out and bill was only $100.

have her ears checked out. Is it only when she's being ridden?

Will prob try that next if this doesn't work. Have talked to a chiro before about him with a diff issue but they never showed/called.

I would try a complete check from hocks to back to poll!

I really feel that she looks uncomfortable and is trying to tell you something. Also even with a bitless bridle he may still be affected by his teeth rubbing against his cheek. Good luck
