We can all hold hands, and hope that the next four years does bring big change for the good of our country, and what it stands for!

FREEDOM!

Good luck Obama, you have a hard row to hoe, but I think that you might be the one to do it right for a change...

Ive not read all the posts. Im not going too, as Im beat tired.
But I am pleased America as a whole has grown up and decided that a black person can be a leader. That is a big step.
Granted. Many are not prepared for such a change, and while many say it isnt the issue. It frankly is a big issue.
Now would it matter if he was republican? Perhaps not so much to the R, however then the Ds would be stressed.

NO one likes change, and frankly people, this is change. Scared? I dont think we should dwell on fear. We are all horse people here. We all know if we dwell on fear, it takes us over and we pay the price. Now, education, knowledge and awareness are the best choices we have.
Make the best of it, and work towards the goals America needs.
Who cares who got in, lets concentrate on congress, and the senate. We all need to get more involved with local issues, and our state issues, and we need to share our voices with our local officials, as they represent us, We the people in Washington.
We can shape this country, and we need to all stop fussing and step up and do something about it.
I know we all have seperate views on things, but frankly, we all want whats good for people. So I prefer to concentrate there, on what I can do to make a change for the betterment of all Americans.

Just my 2cents, and frankly no one liked JFK either...
Funny, feelings change after you learn more and they are able to prove themselves...

Well, I do gotta say that yes, after today, I will support Obama because he will be our president and will be the leader of this country for the next four years and I would make it **** for myself if I didn't. I may not agree with some of his policies, but as commander in chief I will stand behind him.

But... for tonight, I am going to have a pity party

What the....You may have meant this in jest but others may not think it's funny and find it offensive. It's not only very bad taste, but now this is also very racist. Would you have made this remark if she was white? How would you feel if someone said this about you? Think about it.
(You better be careful making any remarks like this in the future)

I am ecstatic that Obama won!!! I stayed up till the end, saw McCains very gracious concession speech, and Obamas acceptance speech. BOTH men were very moving to me and I don't like McCain at all! I think in McCains concession speech, it was the first time he REALLY spoke from his heart. I even felt kind of bad for him losing the election.

To those afraid of Obama and his policies.....there is absolutely NOTHING he can do that Bush hasn't already done to us and this country. I believe he will bridge the racial gap, and bring both parties together to better this nation. Even the foreign countries believe he is the one to unite all countries, and isn't "trigger happy". That, all by itself speaks volumns!!!! While the changes we will get won't happen overnight, I think they will be much needed changes, and at the end of his term, I think this country and it's people will be better off than we are now. Who can honestly complain about that??????

To the person who said Michelle Obama was dressed like a hooker..........I find that insulting at best, childish at worst! I thought she looked well dressed, as so were her children and her husband. Hmmmm.....guess that makes me not know what a hooker looks like? Coming from Kansas City, where hookers are abundant......I've never seen a one look as beautiful as Michelle Obama did last night! If that is all you have to say about the elected parties family.....maybe you DO have a reason to be scared?

Congratulations Obama and Biden and to their families! May you make this journey safely and in peace!
