No I dont/didnt care. but the media sure did.

ok im done
Im just alittle PO'ed, no casino for us, so no new jobs, and the payday loan/check advance places will soon be closing, so again another lose of jobs.

ok now im done really, had my coffee, watched the news, now its time for bed.
If you really research again about the hand over the heart it was actually not done during the national anthem not the pledge of allegiance. There is nothing that says a hand has to be place over your heart during the national anthem just the pledge.

i thought both speeches tonight were very good, i didnt vote, wasn't registered where i live now and really i didn't plan on voting so i dont know who i would have voted for anyway. but i do think it is a great step forward in our country to be able to elect a minority to the presidency

To those McCain supporters who're still grousing about Obama why don't you take a leaf from your candidate: accept him (Obama), congratulate him, hope him the best (and our country the best), and move on.

You realized our country has just made history and you're still complaining about it.

HECK YES!!!! My friends and I popped a bottle a champagne and have been celebrating since the announcement!!!

For all of those who said they were moving to Canada if Obama wins: Pack warm clothes, I hear it's cold there!

I am so excited for the next four years! Hopefully it will expand into 8!

I'm a little late joining this thread, but I wanted to say that I am incredibly happy that Obama been elected for our next president.

I may be young, but I am educated in the presidential candidates' beliefs and views on topics important to me, and I believe and have always believed that Obama is the right choice for this country.

For me, it matters not that he chooses to keep his right hand at his side during the national anthem or that he chooses not to say the words "One Nation Under God," but that he sticks to his morals and has the same core beliefs as I do.

On another thread, someone asked why would ANYONE vote for Obama, and commented that no Americans can seem to give a "straight" answer. I didn't get a chance to answer to that there, so I'll answer here: I would vote for Obama because he wants equality for all, gay and straight alike. I would vote for Obama because he is pro-choice. I would vote for Obama because he understands the separation between church and state. I would vote for Obama because he realizes that the war in Iraq is hurting our nation. I would vote for Obama because he is the right choice for president for me.

I'm so ECSTATIC that Obama won, and am celebrating right now with my parents. Oh, and his speech was incredibly moving, I'd recommend you to watch it!

CONGRATULATIONS OBAMA!!!

Also in your conservative views, we're basically socialists, so you may want to head somewhere else, lol.

I am very happy with the results of this election. If I were American I would have voted for Obama, I think he will bring changes that will help America out of this rut that it is stuck in.
