Although I am against Obama I have to say dito to Sher's post.
Now that he is president sitting around pouting isn't going to help anything. I pray he will have a good and fruitful term.
I do not fear Obama himself but some of his plans for this country. I truely hope I am proved wrong.

For those who voted for Obama... congrats. I know this is an exciting night for you.

My not parents turned off the channel. They voted for McCain. I am sad I didn't get to see either speech. I'm sure it'll be recorded and I'll find a way to watch it somehow.

As an Obama supporter, I'm very happy with the outcome and look forward to a brighter future under his term.

That is very mature of you, the McCain voters. I apprieciate that, greatly. Yes, we should just be happy for either one, and hope they can lead our country well.
If McCain would have won I would have done the same.

What are you so afraid of? Do you think he is going to walk out in a turban and a rifle to say GOTCHA??

I really don't understand what is so frightening. How many terrible things do you honestly think he can do, he isn't going to singe handedly bring down America. I mean, we just made such a large leap into eliminating racial segregation, this is what MLK died for and that is already a pretty positive change. I think that so many good changes have come from the nation as a whole by electing him. Times are changing and we need a leader who understands. The last 100 years have been extremely progressive.

Well my favorite color is blue, I guess I should have known! As a person that did NOT vote, I will not complain, but I can say, that every speech that I saw Obama say, or advertisement that was on tv, I was kinda hoping for the "CHANGE" that we needed from the Bush administration.....I am hopefull that things will get better as the next year or so go by...

Barack Obamas speech was everything I was hoping for and more, from the time line of history in Ann Nixon Coopers life, to his reaching out to every American, it was both stirring and spellbinding from beggining to end

A friend of mine read this somewhere and shared it with me...

Rosa sat, so that Martin could stand, so that Barack could run...

So that our children could fly.

Seeing that stage tonight, filled with family,Obamas and Bidens, the love of God and Country, fills my heart with hope for the next four years.

God bless America.
