I could say exactly the same about Obama supporters. Seriously

Quote:
The first time I read this quote, I thought it was dangerously true. Then I really started pondering it and thought how would this apply to our own lives/careers? Let's look at it again to see how absurd it is.
You couldn't get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.

0D
You couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.

You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't join the military and be come a colonel after a 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience.

BUT....

'From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate.

That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. 143 days?

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start.

AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public seems to feel comfortable with this and campaigning for him.

We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are OK with this for the President of the United States of America?

Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol.
Personally I"m scared of Obama and his VOTING record!!!

I believe that Obama wont make a difference if he's President. I don't think McCain will make a difference either. Neither one are suitable for the job. I will do my part in voting, however, since that is my right as an American citizen.

I will not be over come with fear from either of these men, though. Since my faith in God is stronger than that. You might find this completely unrelated to the subject matter, but I trust in God to take care of me... even if I don't trust in these two men.

Neither one scare me in the least under our type of gov. neither can do a thing by themselves.

The ones that scare me are the american voters they keep right on voting the two major parties into power over and over and keep right on letting those two parties screw them over.

When is it enough to make a change?

lol, that article made me laugh (sorry if that offends someone). As a CHRISTIAN, I actually would rather have a strong, intelligent non-Christian in office than a dumb "true" Christian man (or woman).
That being said...who wants to bet that Obama actually goes to church more that McCain. Lol, why should it matter what religion our president is? Think about it...this is POLITICS! They are ALL a bunch of slime-balls.
BTW, if I was old enough to vote (grrr...just a couple months short), I would be voting for Obama as a clothes-pin vote as I actually am not that enthusiastic about either of them.

For any of us to expect any two people to come into office and make changes, big ones... that will make a difference just ain't gonna happen. I am sooo dissapointed on the direction our entire country has drifted. Away from encouraging small business to start up and expand and grow, to penalizing that energy and taxing their profits righ into closing down that business..Our government is a bloated, greedy monster that is created because more people that don't work are demanding that the government give them their entitlements that they did not work for but expect them to come from our hard earned $$ which equales out to the taxes that we pay the government. If the government would just quit this,...WE ( the government) have to provide for what you poor dumb people are unable to provide for yourselves, it is Big Daddy government who will pay for your food, medical expenses, houseing, all the while saying it is your right to demand these services. What ever happened to being independant thinkers, with the idea that if you work hard, spend wisely, tht you will succeed..?? Not so these days. IF you work hard, all you get is more taxes to pay, the more you make the higher tax brackett you pay, so where does that encourage growth. All it does it make #####sure that you stay small and under the radar. Lord help you if you actaully have 5 or 6 employees.. Obama certainly isn't going to help that, instead he is focusing on helping those who (can't or won't help themselves) at the cost of us who are..I can't gaurantee that Mccain and Palin will do a whole lot different as much as I hope that they would..but it is the House and Congress that actually runs this country not the president and VP..Until these branches come into agreement ( which ain't gonna happen wither) things I am afraid are just gonna continue same ole same ole.. Sorry for the rant but I own a small business, that grosses over the 250,000 cap that Obama is talking about that if you do then you are makeing lots of money so therefore pay more..OH sooo wrong. Our private income after taxes and all costs required from the government puts us on the poverty level, but on the books it shows we are BIG business... I am not voteing for McCain only because he is a Christian or not for Obama because he is or isn't Christian... I can only hope tht the person that does win this horse race..Looks at the working class as they deserve to be looked at...as the backbone of this country that drives the economy, pray that they don't break the camels back with one more straw..

So what if it's an old thread. It's still a good discussion.
