O man.... she's coming home- **Man, she hasent even been home for 24 hours***

As some of you know- my mom has no idea I have a horse. My mom lives out of state now and I board so its very easy to keep this from her.

I have had Indie since the begining of September of last year and Ive hid it this long

Well, I live in the house that my mom owns- she moved down to S. Carolina right before I bought my horse. So now, of course I have all this "Horse Stuff" laying around. My mom is coming home to pack up the majority of the stuff in the house and getting it ready to sell.

I have all my little stuff that I can hide in my room..... but.... I just got a new Western saddle that I cannot think of a place to hide it and dont have a place that I can take it to. I dont want to leave it at the place I board.

And then I tought.... O no- I have a AQHA sticker on the back of my truck... Im dead!

Man, i feel like I'm 12 again- somebody help me. How have you guys hid stuff from your parents or significate others? I know this is kinda stupid- but, I honestly am a little stumped

Sorry I must be missing something. Why do you want to hid it from her? If your old enough to live on your own why can't you have your own horse?

Put your saddle in your closet.=) Or will she look through your closet? You can always just tell her that you like the sticker...

Lol!! What's wrong with just telling her? You're a big girl now. What's she gonna do?

1. I technically live in her house- even though she dosent live here anymore.

2. She'll kill me

3. My mom has a nack for making me feel bad about decisions I make- all decisions. And she never lets go of things. I still get yelled at for things I did when I was in highschool.

The way I think of it is-

I had something very bad happen to my old horse. It has taken me 6 years to get over it and get back into horses. Horses have always been my passsion. I know she'll blow up and say "I cant believe you were so stupid to get a stupid horse" along with ALLOT of swearing with it. She would make me feel bad about something and some thing that I truely love- she does it every time my boyfriends name comes up

I would rather hide it till I can graduate and get out of her house then feel bad about something I love so much- I dont need that kind of stress right now.

Just tell her you have a horse! What's she gonna do? You're old enough to make your own choices, and having a horse is one of them.
edit: you replying before me and I didn't see till I posted .
But I still don't see what's all that wrong with it, the horse is at a boarding stable so it's not on her property. She sounds like a dificult person...

I used to get small animals without my mom knowing, but it's easier to hida a hamster than it is a horse.... I can see where you are coming from. I also remember the situation from a while back..... Dang girl your good! I thought for sure she owuld have found out by now. I would either take the saddle to your friend's house, hide it in your closet, or possibly in your trunk!(If you have a car w/ a big enough trunk) Good luck!!!=)=)=)

Well maybe you could hide the saddle in the trunk of your car. I know it's not the best place to keep a saddle but if you don't have a choice...
