Nurse Mare Available

As many of you know, Penny lost her foal this year. She made an excellent mother, and even with his deteriorating condtion, she stuck by his side encouraging him.

She is a good milk producer and is tough enough not to tolerate biting or kicking, but still very motherly. She has an excellent temperament and is fully trained which will help introduce a foal to new experiences with a calm disposition.

If you and anyone you know has an orphan in need of a caring mother, please PM me and I will give you my contact information. Southern California is preferred.

*We are talking to many local breeders as well, so hopefully she will get her own baby soon.

Did you check the nurse mare foal board?

I'll find the link.

A month-ling () is usually too old to take to a nurse mare. Anyways, I would prefer her to stay up in Solvang since we are most likely going to try to rebreed her. When I saw that, I just about picked up my phone to call, but I then saw the date. Shucks.

I actually just called the Encinitas people. Their baby is 2 months old now and no longer really in need of a nurse mare. Shucks.
