I just started supplementing with this a few weeks ago. Before that I was giving my horse Black as Knight and saw a VERY dramatic difference with it. I tried this Nu Image Dark Horse this time and it does not seem as effective as the Black as Knight. My horse has been fading since I discontinued feeding the Black as Knight and I haven't seen an improvement since starting the Nu Image. There's my 2 cents!

We're coming into the heat of summer, so fading is more likely to be happening now, too. Also, once fading has happened, NO supplement on the market will, or even can, reverse it. Are you feeding the NIDH at the same ingredient concentration as you were the BAK?

I'm fed both at the recommended dosage. There was a HUGE difference with using Black as Knight. And within a couple of weeks of stopping the Black as Knight the fading began.

These were taken 6 weeks apart after I started him on the Black as Knight.

And here he is last weekend...

Black as Knight makes a huge and very noticeable difference!

He was clipped about a month before the first picture. Maybe a little bit longer?

I think for a fair assessment of the two products, you would need to do a full season of each. We don't know if the BAK would have been able to keep the color through this part of the year (the 'hot' season) and we don't know if the NIDH would have faded earlier in the season. This is the time of year for fading to kick into high gear.

Also, comparing a clipped horse and one with a 'new' summer coat isn't really a fair comparison.
