Nu Chex bloodlines

I've been reading and heard a lot about this line being well dumb, untrainable, worthless, any others? How many other people have heard bad things about this bloodline?

I know he is on the 5 Year leading Reining Sires List ...he is #9 ..so apparently someone is liking him ...I've never had any of his .... A friend had a Nu Cash (his sire) that was as sweet as pie .... And I also like his bottom side ..other than that I really don't know .. IMO people should really think what they say about someone elses horses especially when the person who owns the animal has not asked for an opinion .... I know if I was a stallion owner or trainer or anything ... I would be feeling bad to come browsing around a public place and find things being said about me or my stallion , my training ability etc etc ...sometimes we need to discover things for our self and then come to our own decisions.. and if we must know maybe it is better to do it privately .... just my thought of the day

A horses bloodline is always a topic on forums. The good, bad, and the ugly is always discussed about sires and dams everyday. This is the only place people can come to talk about who they breed to or who they don't breed to and why.

That was just my opinion ...and I do understand people do talk about who they breed to and who they chose not to but ..when you pull one stallion out and say things like dumb ( they wouldn't be trained and winning if they were dumb) ,untrainable ( which is false because he has many winning in the pen) and worhtless ( I've seen some of his get go for lots $$) ..it is not very nice ... There granted are some horses that lack a little in that department and other departments as well, but sometimes the horse can only be as smart as its trainer is.... Just my thought please carry on

I honestly do not understand why saying that I owned two of his offspring and will never buy another one... is being rude. That is a fact. Much like I will never buy anything Impressive bred... because I cannot sell it if I had to.

Every trainer has bloodlines they like and others they dislike. That is human. I know that I will never ask my trainer to ride something Okie Leo bred. He doesn't like to ride them... Much like vehicles... everyone has a favorite brand...

I have to say i agree with CowBarbie. I understand morgablogan wasnt actually calling the horse dumb, untrainable, and worthess, and im not sure if those exact words were even used to explain someones feelings on the breed, but i dont think the words DUMB, UNTRAINABLE, and WORTHLESS are appropriate to use when explaining a horse, or breed, or certain bloodline.

IMHO if someone is using those words to explain a horse, its because the training methods used on the horse werent affective and should have been rethought out because every horse has the ability to learn. Some may take longer than others, so many fight it, some may be difficult, but no matter what every horse can learn. And if it really is next to impossible to work with a horse a human probably did something wrong to ruin the horse sometime throughout their life.

I dont think every horse that comes out a stallion is going to be the same either. They may have alike traits, but i highly doubt every offspring would be dumb, worthless, or untrainable.

And, that is just the way i feel

The Chex line of horses is one that I have always admired.

That is excatly what I was getting at...I realize everyone has a right to like and dislike, but there is a way to be respectable about it ..... you wouldn't want someone to talk about your own horse in that manner, so why would you want to refer to anothers that way in a very public place.....

If Impressive-bred horses are such fair game, why not other bloodlines?
