Looks like I am down to two suppliers that are both 2 hours away. I called the nearest ones and they have also stopped carrying it. I suspect that is because of alot of feed stores just struggling with the economy and corn prices so they reduce stock.

I am willing to make the drive and will just stock up on a 3 month supply which makes it worthwhile. Hey, I might even find some other goodies right?

Look and see if you can find dealers for other feed companies closer.

Where are you currently getting your Purina feed? They should carry the Born to Win (or be able to order it in).

I called and they only carry the Nutrena feeds and Purina. Anything from Nutrena that would be recommended?

Personally, I would recommend the Purina Nature's Essentials line above Nutrena (which is what the Born to Win falls under).

From Nutrena, the Light Balance might be a viable option for your boy.

I think Dawn has you covered on this one

any ration balancer even purina is better then a grain based feed

Personally I would go with Nutrena's lite balance over Born to WIn

The problem with lite balance is that it is still designed to be fed in relatively high meals. It's simply a lower NSC feed, which imo is not comparable to a ration balancer (but better than most 'traditional' feeds).

I realized that after heading to the feed store and is there a ration balancer from Nutrena or Purina that you would recommend?

Nutrena to my knowledge does not make a ration balancer

I have a problem with Purina because MOST of their feeds are less cost effective meaning they use whatever is cheapest at the moment to make them
