Exclamation Nov 8th fun schooling show in Simi Valley, Ca

Fun schooling show run by the AHASFV. This is an all breed schooling show. We are running a full selection of classes (eng, west, trail, walk trot, and jumping). Class fees are low and we are having a carne asada lunch. For more info please check our website ahasfv.org

Or you can contact me via email courtney@surfasrealestate.com for more info on the show.

Where is this going to be held? My barn may be interested in going if there are enough English & O/F classes

The Arroyo Simi Equestrian Center. Major cross street Royal and Sequoia. These are the enhlish and jumping classes from the last show. I am doing some tweeking on the classes (just on age groups so we have an easier time with high point) but the classes will basically be the same. We also run a full line up of walk trot, western, and trail (Eng or West) as well.

Thanks, I'll pass that along to the trainer. I don't think that will be enough O/F classes, as most of her students are beyond crossrails.

I agree with the above post. If more OF classes were added I have a minimum of 3 horses of my own that would attend.

What are the typical class fees? Grounds fees? Office fee? etc.

What's the *typical* turn-out for these shows, i.e. how many riders per class?

Are actual ribbons given per class or? thru what placing?

and lastly...what's the end of the day hi-point receive?

Class fees are $6 pre entry and $10 if you enter the day of the show. Grounds are $10. We have a $5 Drug Fee. We usually have a Min of 5 riders per class. Our jumping classes are larger (15 in the hunter hacks and the hunters). We usually have about 40 horses at the show. Ribbons are given out 1st through 6th. We have high point in Eng, West, Walk Trot, and Jumping. We usually give a plaque or a neck garland to high point winners.

We had more jumping classes (including higher classes) but we didn't have the attendance to warrant holding the larger classes so we dropped the fences back to smaller fences. If we knew we had more attendance for the larger classes we would throw them back in. We try to run what the public wants. It is a great show to school at.

Will there be a Hunter Hack class added? How about Eq Over Fences above cross rail height?

We have two hunter hacks. No other classes were planning on being added. I can talk to the board and see if they want to add classes.
