![]() | Noticing horse color trends comming along?
I was just wondering if anyone else notices this or if it happens in any other diciplins besides or in any differant areas around the country.... Every year it seems like there is a trend with the horses in the hunter world in my area. Where I am from hunter is a largely practied disiplin and every year there is a most popular color of horse. Three years ago is when I started noticing. It went from appaloosa, to bay, to paints last year, and I am seeing a lot of palominos this season... Has anyone else noticed this anywhere else, or am I imagining things... |

I noticed this, not only in shows, but pretty much all the barn owners around here. In the older days Appy's were VERY popular. Then it went to Paints and Bays and Greys and now it's Palominos and Duns. I've always loved Dapple Greys and Bays no matter what the trends were

Summer: ![]() Winter: ![]() In the late spring, when she first sheds out, she's a very dark liver chestnut, then fades to a golden chestnut with dark mane and tail. I have noticed around here that Palominos are very popular, and Buckskin or Dun Paints.

um there's always at least one palomino at the shows but I've never really noticed just always a lot of chestnuts and bays, cuz well there's a lot of them lol but I don'tpay that much attention to it either, to busy making sure Royal doesn't kill some one at shows before he gets lunged lol

Not to mention those SHOW MOMS! Yes, I said it! We all know them, the ones standing on the sidelines screaming at their children because they bought a 20 thousand dollar horse, not even kiding, and the child wasn't warming up well | |
