Question not shedding?

My donkey hasn't started shedding yet. Should I be worried? My mare has been shedding for well over 2 wks now.

No, mules and donkeys shed really late in the season. Some times not until June or even later.

Not to worry as long as donk is otherwise healthy...I have 4 mini donks and each one shed at different times and then when they do shed...look out...it comes off in clumps. One of my girls sheds earlier than the others and even beofre her summer coat comes in..she looks bald for a week or so.

I have never owned a donkey but a horse owns me! Do you worm them like a horse? If so, maybe a worming would help start the process. I know when I worm my older horse, his hair really starts to drop off, in a good way that is!
