Angry Not A Very Fun Ride [Vent]

Today I decided to ride Ed-e up the road to Bronte Park. Its a property thats just been bought by some new owners. I've met the new owner and he said that I can use the front arena and the round yard whenever I wanted. Anyway, today I went up and his kids were riding around in the arena. I stopped for a chat with the owner and then was invited to have a group lesson thingy with them all (the owner's a lvl 2 instructor). Anway it started out good. Ed-e was behaving and we were doing some show jumps. Then all of a sudden he decided to go skitz and balk at everything. Just as he was about to go over the first jump he ran to the side, I came off and he bolted around the paddock for a bit. I finally caught him got back on and went over the jumps. The next time around he just bolted over the first jump and did the fastest balk on the second. I stayed in the saddle for most of it. Then when I did come out my foot caught in the stirrup a little bit and I was so close to breaking my leg. So after another bolt around the paddock, the eldest girl caught him and I jumped back on. He went over the jumps and some trotting poles fine so I took him over the jumps again and again He freaked and again I met the ground. I got back on and did the jumps again without him balking. After the lesson I just sat there talking to the instructor, in tears (I was shaken up and my leg was killing me). He was saying that he can see Ed-e has potential, but he just needs to be taught to listen to the person on his back and not just want to go, go ,go. Seriously, the only thing keeping me from selling Ed-e is that I've become real attached to him even though he's a complete psyco sometimes. He just has a really good personality and nature on the ground.Anyway I'm going up there to have another lesson tommorrow if my leg doesnt swell up and go gross.I hope Ed-e will behave himself better tommorrowSorry about the novel but I'm just really not very happy with my horse at the moment

What a naughty boy he is. He reminds me of tiger our grey pony we had. Things can only improve. Keep working.

Is it full moon time again? Did the cereal truck overturn and fruitloops got spilt?

Sorry you had such a rotten ride.

But well done to you for sticking at it and getting him over the jumps.

I hope your lesson is better tomorrow
