Arrow ....Nose Bleeds....

Ok.....so here it is. My horse had a nose bleed in april....it wasnt very big but there was blood coming out. So we just watched it and nothing else seemed to happen.....so we thought. Yesterday, i went to go catch her, cuz we hadnt ridden since our horse show and i find her standing in her paddock with blood dripping out of her right nostral. So i bring her in and she is breathing kinda of hard. So i wipe it up and then i give her a good brushing and then leave her be. well my friend came to the barn and so we let out horses in the arena together to eat grass while we suntaned....and then after about an 2 hours in there my horse what just walking up to us and again her nose is bleeding. This time it is more bright and more coming out and there was a huge clump that came out as well...but it kept dripping....and then she sneased on my friend and then blood got all of her ( that was quite funny) so we brought a towel out and wiped it again. and then after this one, her snot was like vanilla pudding...it was really cream and not clear....and thats not a good sign........so...i called the vet...but they just had 3 emergency calls at that moment so they were all busy. But this morning the vet calls me and says it could be many things...infection...blood clots....something wrong in her respetory system....so she says the only way we could do anything is if you got a scope done on her. So i am willing to get that done, just to be on the safe side. But i am leaving this wed for a tripp with my friend. And i dont think they could have her in on monday...and stay till tues...and i kinda wanted to be there when she got home....cuz i dont want her to have that done...and then be gone for 2 weeks...so im thinking i may wait till i get back.....cuz it hasnt bleed since....but....what do you guys think could be causing it....and if you think i should give it a bit more time before gettin a scope done......cuz aprill to july is a pretty far strech....

Thanks a bunch!

I wouldn't wait any longer. She could be having a seriouse respiratory problem, and the longer you wait to get it treated the higher the chances are of never getting a full recovery.
Does the bleeding start after she run or moved around alot?

I totally agree, i would not leave it, the fact that you have creamy coloured mucus coming out of her nose may indicate infection, this may or may not be the cause of the blood coming out of the nose.
If it was my horse I would get her to the vet ASAP.

So i went to the vets today and they did a scope on her. It wasnt to bad in price, but we didnt really get an answer. The vet said that if it happens again, the next thing to do would be get an x ray or the head....to see if there is anything up there t hat is coming down through the nasal passage. .....But i am just glad that she is ok.
