If you put a pot of pasta on the stove to boil, get a cup of ice cubes out too. If and when the pot begins to boil over...plop in a couple cubes and the foam goes RIGHT down! The drop in temp stops the boil over and you don't have to touch the scary pot!!

Garbage disposal smell a little funky?
Turn it on...and pour out your ice cube tray into the sink under hot running water...add a little lemon juice along with the cubes.

Ran out of jewelry cleaner....use some toothpaste.

No scrubbing bubbles to clean the tub? Just use some baking soda and warm water.

Yucky onion smell on your hands....rub some coffee grounds on them.

Going snorkeling....and tired of your mask fogging up? Spit in it first...then wipe it around...don't ask me why but it works.

Is your skirt trying to hitch a ride with your shirt because of static cling? Rub a dryer sheet on your clothes.

Doing laundry and you notice you got pen on your clothes? Hair spray will take it out. Blood? Use hydrogen peroxide.

I heard that works to, but my friend tried and got the biggest red mark on her face. The zit was gone though....

This is a 'be careful' not a 'dont do it'.

then do a test patch on a place on your leg or arm or somewhere hidden, and see if it gives a red mark to you... she just may have had a reaction... just like with alot of stuff, always Test patch" somewhere other than your face!

I love this thread, I keep cheking back for new tips!!!

I'm gonna try this one come summer........

"The Greenest Lawn in Town! Epsom salt, the mineral bath that Grandpa soaked his sore muscles in, has another secret use. Because it's rich in two minerals that make plants grow like crazy, it can turn your lawn super-green. And it's cheaper than fertilizer! Add 2 tablespoons to one gallon of water and spread over your grass so it soaks it. You'll be delighted!"

My brother swears by that! I never had enough to test it but it sure seems to work for him.

One of my friend's boyfriend uses diaper rash ointment when he gets...uh...heat rash? under/around (not sure) his man baggage. lol

When weight lifting...you get more benefit from slow resistance to lowering the weight than when you life it. For ex...when bench pressing, push the weight up off your chest kind of quickly then lower it back down twice as slowly. You'll build muscle faster this way....
Don't encourage him!!! Ah ha ha ha 'man baggage'!

Weight lifting - it depends on which muscles you are wanting to build! Muscles work in opposing pairs - one relaxes (lengthens) as the other contracts (shortens). So to lift the weight one is contracting (working), and when you lower the weight the other is contracting (and working to control the lowering). You don't build the 'lifting' muscles more, just the muscle pair more as you are using the opposing muscle to slowly lower the weight insted of just letting the weight fall and therefore that muscles does little work.

Do it slowly though and yes you will build muscles faster, because you're working harder
