Well, it doesn't look as if they are going to do anymore voting on bills this session. They convened at 11:00 am today, and adjourned for the day at 12:10 pm, and it was a pro forma session, which means they conducted NO business. They are scheduled to re-convene at 9:00 am on Wed., the 26th, but it's another pro forma session, so they won't be discussing or voting on any bills that day either! What a waste of taxpayer dollars and time!!!! I think we should all call our senators and give them a real chewing out!!! Out of all the days they were in session, about 1/4 were pro forma!!!! It's no wonder they can't get anything done!!!!!

I think the gov't and laws need to concentrate and spend their time and money more on border control, rather than people hauling horses

But the sessions are not all about this one bill, they're about several issues! So think...if they had spent the time wisely, and voted on ALL the bills...they would have more time to focus on other issues of importance such as border patrol and many other issues...

Well, they may not have voted on bill S.311 in 2007, but I'll bet it gets voted on next year! We don't have to start from scratch next year, like we did this year, and we have the WHOLE YEAR for it to get voted on this time! And, I'd seriously doubt that it will take the whole year to get voted for or against.

I'm just waiting to see where the bills H.R.503 and S.311 sit on the calendar, and what their order numbers are. That should tell us how quickly they will get voted on. The new calendar should be posted sometime the first week of January 2008. I'll let everyone know as soon as I find out.
