Guess I'm a cry baby NOT
Who do you think you are calling the anti people cry babies? Looks to me that you are the one being a baby. Just so you know I am one of those anti horse slaughter people, and from looking at your profile looks to me that you are one of those pro people who can afford to humanly euthanize your horses when their time comes, especially with being in the gas and oil business. So sit and spin on that will ya!

Just got this pm. I had to laugh. Some people will never get it. The horse Industry as a whole will suffer. Your turn to spin!

Looks like I will definitely have to read this bill carefully since next year I will be hauling a horse cross country!

Tazzasape: There are better ways to get your point across besides resorting to calling people names. They have their opinions about the slaughter issue, but calling them 'crybabies' will not change that or give most people a high opinion of you or your views
Not being mean, just pointing out that there are better ways to phrase things

Well, it looks like horses will get slaughtered in Canada and Mexico for another year. I believe the Senate adjourns today.

I wish they'd just VOTE on the stupid thing and get it over with.

Be it for or against. (preferably against as written)

But it gives those a chance to really listen to the major concerns (not just the slaughter part) and rewrite it and resubmit it.

I agree Michelle. This has been getting dragged out for too long! They need to either vote on it or withdraw the bills!!!!

What really makes me mad about all the bills waiting for discussion and vote is.....I've been following the times they convene and adjourn for the day ever since they started up, and watching which bills got their attention and time. 75% of the time, they didn't even go into session until 11:30 in the morning......wasting half the day!!!!! Sometimes, they would start up at 9:30 am, but not near as often as they did at 11:30!!!!

this Congress hasn't done SQUAT on anything. Ticks me off to no end. My own congressman has been up in arms about getting things moving, but nothing has gotten done this past year.

(GO DEMOCRATS!!!!)

Well, they had a record vote today! They have made it up to order number 442. Apparently, their last session will be this Sunday.....yes, they are convening on a Sunday! Bill s311 is order number 488.....so in their last session this Sunday, if they vote on 46 bills.....that bill will either get passed or rejected! If they only vote on 45 bills, then it will all start all over again next year.

Let's all hope they get to vote on this and put it to rest, one way or the other. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm sick to death of this issue, and arguing about it, and having it turn people against each other.

They haven't said that Sunday was going to be their last day in session....I'm just assuming that, since they always adjourn just before Christmas.

That reminded me of this...
Quote:
To My Democratic Friends:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wish.

To My Republican Friends:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I just wish they would do something and those that represent us would stick to their word when it comes time to vote. I have known too many politicians who's voting record does not reflect what they say...
