True I used to arrange for ppl to sort out and lend each other what they needed when someone was in a bind. I have lent coats and such too before! PPl have lent me chaps, cowboy hats, TACK, LOL etc...

Thats too bad you dont get to go....and u r trying for a job...good luck with that, just keep looking. I remember applying what seemed like everywhere before I got a job in HS, but I did get one eventually (pizza place...lol) to support my horsey habit (and the gas in the car to get there).

Well, I can only work on weekends because of school so even if I did get a job, I couldn't get money in time. I need to find a way though.... I really don't want to miss my show...

why dont you try babysitting? or (depending where you live) cut peoples grass. charge $20 a yard in two days you could have $120 dollars for cutting 3 yards a day. i hope you find some way to go. there will always be shows to go to. keep you rhead up.

I would babysit but I'm not the biggest fan of kids. I wouldn't be a good babysitter. lol. It's winter still here so no grass to cut and no snow to shovel because it's all shoveled.

Ditto, I'm a bad babysitter.
Do you think anyone at your barn would loan the $$ you need? Then you could work for them with their horse(s) to pay them back.

I would feel horrible barrowing money from anyone at the barn. I'm not that close with anyone there anyways.

This is everything I need and the costs for all of it.

Show gloves- $29.99
Breeches- $49.99
Hunt Coat- $62.99
Hair Net- $9.99
Show Hat- $89.95
Clippers- $46.99
Hoof Dressing (clear and black)- $9.99 each
Application Brush- $1.49
Shapley's MTG- $11.95
Trailering/show costs- $120.00

I have $230.00 but I just gathered some video games together and took those up to a place called "GameStop" and sold them there and I got $26.48 so now I have $256.48. I need $186.52 more. I have no idea what I'm going to do.... I might take the MTG off though because it's a week before the show and I'll only be able to use it once since it's so greasy.... Do you think I should?
