Michelle I think your grasping at straws trying to link it to a weed there cuz it was worse last year in TX chances of it being enviorment in 2 different places that don't even have the same home grasses. I feel for ya girl. Its horrible and I hope they figure something out. Moonshine did good on the Red Cell it took about 4 months to get him back up and stable. Hang tough girl I only have a shoulder.

Well, 3 vet opinions are now in after looking over the bloodwork.

No definitive idea.

"young" vet still wants to run her "own" blood work. Not sure what else she can run. I've ran EVERYTHING minus the Coombs test

So I'm now shying away from her unless she is willing to accept what I've ran. Physical exam shows NOTHING wrong. Temp is good. HR good. heart SOUNDS good. gut sounds good. There isn't anything "physically" to be seen minus the muscle wastage along the spine and hips, however that is "shifting" back to normal.

I AM however, going to adjust his feed a bit. Moreso for costs and availability, but he will remain on high fat.

Changing him back down to 6 lbs of the Granolene per day. Which provides pretty much everything he needs with poor crappy hay.

To supplement the protein to "bump" him.....alfalfa pellets are available. And
will be adding another pound of fat supplement of some kind. on my way out to decide what is within budget.

This might have already been covered, but... have you looked into possibility of alsike clover poisoning? Just read an article about it.
