No More Babies!!!

The horse that I ride Second Chance is a 16 y.o thoroughbred mare, she was recently artificially inceminated (Sp?) well the vet came the other week and said that she didn't take... whats worse is she won't be able to have any more babys because she has a sist on her falopian toobs and it really stinks because she really would have been a great mom

But there is a good side

since she can't have babies i don't have to worry about hurting her or the baby while i ride.. but still it is depressing becuase i had high hopes for her babies not to mention that fact that i am only 14 y.o and spent $550 dollars for the seman that we "bred" her with.

aww. Sometimes you can get the stud fees back.

Did you have a live foal guarantee? If so, you should be able to get your money back or have the opportunity to use the same stallion on a different mare.

Turns out i had a live foal garauntee...but it stinks cuz she isn't my mare... i am just really good freinds with her owner.... but it is ok because now i get to choose ne of chances owners mares n if the pregnancy is sugceful i get to keep the mare and foal...

ah bless but as you say at least you can still ride your faveourite mare! thats always a bonus as for stud fees dont you get them back or dont you because the stud can produce a live foal but your mare is unable to recieve more treatment

Unforjunatly i don't get the stud fees back but in a month or to i will have another mare bred (sadie a cute little welsh pony) and since he is proven to have live foals and she is too i will be able to keep her and the baby after we find out she is for sure inpregnated
