Hey Everyone
Some of you know that recently I regained ownership of my Appy mare Miss Nikki. Well, We were EXPECTING

her 2006 foal to be here around May 10. A small history on Nikkis' foaling routine, is 3 of her 4 folas have arrived about 30 days early, they arrive a bit small, but grow up to big and healthy.
Anyway, I noticed last week that she was starting to make bag. This week it's about 1/3 the way full (got a ways yet), but last night, I also noticed that her croup muscles at the dock of her tail is beginning to soften. (From my own experiences I found this softening can slowly progress over a 2 to 3 week period of time.) I guess I am hoping she doesn't go too soon. Lord knows all the worry and heartache that goes with a waaay to early foal. If I did the math right we will possibly be seeing a foal as soon as April 10. Exactly 30 days prior to original expected foaling date. I am soo worried, Nikki generally has no problems foaling, but I am so worried the baby will get here too soon.

Thanks for Listening everyone, I hope I am worrying all for nothing.

JJ
