Nickering when you get off.....?

Why do some horses do this? Why do they nicker when you get off? lol

mine do it too.. kinda makes me wonder if they are saying.. wow her fat butt is off now!!!

I found that website and they say that a nicker basically means "hi" or "come closer" (mare to foal)

I rode a mare last weekend that Nickered EVERY time someone got off of her

It was absouelty ADORABLE. I just wanted to get on and off of her just so she'd nicker. The owner has owned her for 11 years and says shes done it every time

Not quite the same, but I had a cocketeil (sp) that would chirp every time you shut the last light off at night....even if it was in another room

The funniest thing.....

My horse only really nickers at mealtime....but I get a big wet filthy nose kiss too... Aren't I blessed
