"Nice" Brand Saddles ...

I am full of tack questions lately ,but anyway I have seen a few "Nice" brand saddle, and I love the look of them! But anytime I try to find one for sale by Google-ing it comes up with all these cruddy no-brand saddles that the description says are nice saddle, yeah right. So does anyone know where i could get one, or a website, or anything?

Thanks!

-Hannah

From another forum, so I'll just quote...
Quote:
HDR (Henri De Rivel) saddles were previously sold as the "Nice" brand for a few years before they changed the name.

All I can find is that Nice brand was bought out by Collegiate.

As quoted above, HDR (Henri De Rivel) saddles were previously sold as the "Nice" brand for a few years before they changed the name. So if you like them, I would look into the HDR saddles.

I found this by googling "nice saddles". Typing with quotes has a different meaning, use their "advanced" search option. I stopped when I found this due to lack of time, so give it a shot

Manufacturer: Nice
Model: Havana
Category: All Purpose Saddles

Purchase: I bought my Nice saddle from a friend for $250 used. It was still in great condition and I know it must be worth more than that because it was made in Nice, France. The leather is very supple and is havana in color. It has knee blocks and air-flo knee pads.

Likes: I LOVE everything about this saddle. The knee blocks give wonderful support when jumping. The seat is very soft and comfortable for trails. I also love using it for flat work and have used it in a couple of shows too. The leather breaks in fast and takes oil nicely.

Dislikes: There isn't anything that I do not like about this saddle, except that I can't use it where I ride now. The instructor only allows us to use close contact saddles so I can no longer use it but will still keep it for trails.

Quality: The construction and quality of this saddle is great. The leather is really soft and it fits the horses I am riding really well. It has a regular tree and it fits perfectly.

Summary: Overall, I would recommend a Nice saddle to anyone for their durability, soft, supple leather, and a really comfortable ride!

There are a few old nice saddles at our barn for the school horses and they are okay quality and hold up for the lesson program but i wouldnt recommend them for the serious rider because they are not that comfy
