Haas no I never called you to be honest I've never heard of the FFQH but then I haven't paid any attention to any foundation groups for years. I think if there were one foundation group nationally it would go over but other wise not.

LOL Well many of us are working toward a national group. That is why we have tried to include all AQHA horses. The reason that there was not a national group previously was because many foundation groups did not want to agree on what a foundation horse was. The foundation idea is far from dead and I figured your information was a bit out of date.

A selling point for me is there temperment, conformation, and attitude toward training. I recently bought a foundation registered mare, not knowing or caring about the foundation breeding. But once I researched them it became clear that she possesses the qualities of the "typical" foundation horse. I am sure, as with any breed, there are those who do not fit this bill. But if that is what they are breeding for then count me in. I have owned different breeds of horses, owned horses for almost 20 yrs. Mostly ridden QH's, but never anything close to being like her. She is very bright. She can get keyed-up one instant but always listens and wants to please, but in the next instant can drop her head and almost fall asleep. Oh yes, she is obedient, cute as a button, and has excellent conformation. I will be looking for foundation horses when I decide to buy another.
I agree with those above a national foundation is necessary but as said previously should be affiliated with AQHA. I too have yet to find the right organization to join. It also seems the number of shows has diminished. In addition it seems the local affiliate has dropped off the face of the earth, I've been unable to find them online for that last few months, website expired.
