News Re: PC, Penny, Ed

I'm going to move to Pony Club in Agoura in the near future. At least temporarily until I can find another barn closer to home. I just want my horses out of Elvenstar. I have more complaints about it than I could name. The most recent one being them trying to tell me when I can ride MY horse. I say horse since they won't dare ride Penny. Mwahaha.

My mom finally gave me the reins on the whole breeding Penny situation. I'm going to call dr. Stevens tomorrow from Conejo Valley Vet. He's supposed to be the go-to man for reproduction. She has given me some pretty tight restrictions on the price, so I have to either go for a lower quality stud or this guy. Which one do you think I'll choose? Hehe.

After the baby is born next year, she will hang out with Penny at my dressage trainer's place for the summer. Then when it comes time for me to go to college, Penny & baby will go with me up to central California. I'm probably going to go to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, which has alot of horsie places, or so I've heard. Baby gets to hang out for a couple years with some ground work while Penny happily grazing in some large pasture.

While baby is growing & Penny enjoys retirement, I will have some fun with a greenie. And this brings me to Ed.

We are selling Edward. He is a fabulous horse, but he deserves a horse that will compete him at the A shows. We just don't have the money to compaign at in that circuit at this time. It kills me that he'll probably go to some home where the kid doesn't know how to tack up their own horse, but Suzie needs a college fund.

If anyone knows any serious inquirees for Ed, PM me.

He's an amazing horse. Good luck selling him, I know how the college fund goes, if I could ever part with Pal I would sell him for the money. College is a witch to pay for.

Aw. Good luck with everything, and I hope you find Ed a great home. If I was closer, had the experience, & the money he's worth, I'd take him! I'm sure someone will find him, and love him as much as you do.

Oh I love Ed... hes so lovely. I wish.. but alas I am far away and also trying to pay for college. Ugh... my freshman year cost me $15,000 for an instate public institution... blah times 20 lol. Good luck selling him.. I hope he gets a good home with a good kid.

As for that stud.... DROOOOL! I wish I was breeding Dreamer now but nope not till I have money and she has done something good in the show ring... but man if i do I totally want to breed her to a trakehner. We had an Anglo Trakhener, my dads horse. he was so awesome, and ex 3 day eventer. I loved that guy.

Hehe, I can't wait for baby next year! Penny was an incredible jumper... fast (kept up with the jumper ponies!), clean (I don't remember her knocking down a jump), had ability (I jumped a 5' course on her once), & a sweet nature (I trust my non-horsey bf to walk her around the barn by himself). Yes, a bit hot undersaddle, but managable. Her only problem was that she started stopping horribly after she had an infection in her root canal. I don't blame her... having a bit bouncing on a very painful tooth ache & trying to jump... eep.

Oh Ed. He is such a pleasure to ride.
