New Training Aid: Bunny Rabbits!!!!

I have been having a few issues with my TB, Sam this week - ranging from being a nut case on the road to being a real old lazy bones in the school.

This morning we were out in the school - I had just got on and we were having a walk round (only a fairly long rein) when suddenly a bunny rabbit leapt out from behind a flower pot and ran right in front of him.

Well he got such a fright he made it to the middle of the school in two large leaps! (I nearly came off - lol)

However this rush of adrenalin worked a treat - he was the best he has been for days - moving forward and really listening to me.

I think I should keep strategically placed bunnies round the school and let them loose whenever he gets lazy again!

This post gave me a good laugh this morning! At my old barn, the neighbors have a naughty little poodle dog that would chase us and nip at heels while we were trail riding.....

LOL SammyDoodle, that was just the best mental image yet. It just cracks me up how such a large beast can be so terrified of a teeny animal.
