Red face New to board...

Hi all!
I have been reading through and you all seem like a friendly and helpful bunch. Alow me to introduce myself. I am in western NY and own a small boarding/training/lesson barn specializing in balanced seat english riding. My speciality is dressage and eventing. I also am experienced in training miniatures and ponies for pleasure driving. I prof. trained and showed minis on the National AMHA and AMHR circuits for 18 years, but have now decided to stay closer to home. So, now I have a 4-H group, keep about 20 horses and do most of the work myself. I teach 25-30 hours a week and train 3-4 horses at a time. I try to do a small amount of rescue work, buying or taking in neglected or abused horses, rehabilitating and either finding them good homes or working them into my program. I love my old horses and have 5 of them aged 21-29 years old, still doing lessons and no meds needed.
I also love training my dogs, but do not train for other people. At this time, I only have two, a geriatric JR, he is beyond training LOL. But my pride and joy is my Boarder Collie/Lab. She is now 2 1/2 years old and we have learned agility together. I hope to get to competition level this winter. She is my constant companion, never leaves my side whether I am on the trail, working in the ring or teaching a lesson. Deinitely one of the smartest and most loyal dogs I have ever known!
I look forward to using this board for getting and giving advice, networking and maybe even a little bragging! That's what it is for, right?

Hey welcome to HGS! We are glad to have you. It seems your experiance will come in handy in helping those of us who need it! I also had a BC/Lab mix. His name was Riff Raff. He lived to be almost 14 and was the smartest dog I have ever owned.
