New TB mare picked up from the track this weekend

Meet Trudys A Tiger - 3yo filly with a slab fracture. She's on 60 days stall rest, then will be turned out to pasture. Next spring she will be bred to my Welsh Stallion! I am so excited.

She's a sweetheart, and you would never believe she came straight from the track, and had already been on 3 weeks stall rest when I picked her up. She's dirty and dusty from living in her stall, and we're not going to put much weight on her until her knee is healed.

we work closely with LOPE TX, which is the TX version of Canter, but they changed their name as they also rehome QH's and Arabs, anything that races.

Well the meet ends at Retama this weekend, and the owner wasn't going to move and pay expenses on a horse that can't run right now. So, I was contacted to see if I was interested in her because of her size (15h). Of course, I couldn't let her be put down (she was scheduled for the 15th to be euthenized). The knee has no swelling and is doing great!

Nes - she is race fit, from the track, ran her last race on September 14th. Plus, she has lost a few lbs. he said from the injury, pain, etc.

Give me 4 months and she'll look like a different horse.

she's 3, will be 4 in January, so yeah, she's still young, has some filling out to do. I picked her up for a friend, but they don't have stalls, so I get to keep her during her RnR then breed her to Duke! wooo hooooo

I think she deserves a better life then to be raced ... but I cant decide her future shes not mine . Your Stally is beautiful they will make a great cross and good luck with the baby!
