also wondering...would it be bad to give him two different weight gaining supplements and another one to help his feet?

Need to know his breeding, age, height, what you're currently feeding him, and whether he's TRULY underweight or just lacking muscle.

How long have you been trying to use a supplement for weight gain? Didnt you just get this horse?

Smart Pak is a good company and no normally it doesnt hurt to use more but may not benefit at all (usually losing money).

You need to look at your overall feeding program. How many pounds of Hay and pounds of supplemental grain and what type your using, If he is in consistant work a high fat diet will help with his weight gain.

For soft feet it could be several things and would suggest you have bloodwork pulled. The better BIOTIN product can be purchased from the vet(really famous~how embarassing) on the east coast and sorry I am drawing a blank. Riddle??? anyhow.

Next option is to look at possibly having a hair analysis done and sent to Getty Nutrition she is really super nice and helped me with my Palomino show mare who looked great nice and fit and healthy except her coat was the dullest in the world.. I shaved the hair from her abdomen and sent it in an envelope included the Brand of feed (copy of feed labels) and she replied with what I needed to supplement in her diet and will work with you based on what is available in your area at the feed store.

sorry for to much information.
