new sorta

Hi there, I'm sorta new. I had a couple questions a couple months ago that I posted. Well, we decided to buy my neighbor's colt. He's just over 2, pretty QH/W Paint, hasn't gaited but oh well. I'm sure I'll continue to have LOTS of questions, he's my first! I used to ride with a trainer a hundred years ago when I was in high school, so I'm not scared of them, but I just don't know anything anymore. He'll be staying where he's at, which is right outside my house (yay!) with his dad. My neighbor will continue to feed him every morning since he does it anyway for the stud. Anyway, just thought I'd stop in and say HI and introduce my soon to be new baby, Dusty!

And here he is with his dad

Gorgeous horse you've got there! I love his sire, as well. That is one awesome blaze. They're both very nice looking horses. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks! You can see how muscular his dad is, and his mom's a QH, taller than his dad, so hopefully he'll fill out and be pretty buff. He's such a sweetie! Well, I'm off to the bank to grab the money to pay for him!

Well, it's official, he's mine! Woohoo! I just went over there and got a nasty tangle out of his mane, and he kept lying his chin on my shoulder. I thought it was so sweet until I realized he was playing with my ponytail. He was just so patient, standing there while I spent half an hour on that knot. I'm sure he'd never had anyone brush his mane before, hopefully he'll be one awesome boy!
