New Rescues arriving at Serenity Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation (SERR)

Here are some newbies to Serenity Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation (SERR- www.serenityequinerescue.com )

The white arab mare (in her mid teens) we have named Lovie. She came from a private home who "could no longer care for her". I have to say, I think that they hadn't been caring for her in quite some time.

The brown one (and a dozen of his buddies) arrived from a so-called rescue , many of you know which one I am talking about (from a loooong thread a while back) and we are just glad they are safe now.

Anyhow, meet the newest horses GLAD to be safe and getting the some excellent care (vetted immediately, hoof care, vitamins and loads of great quality hay, and best of all LOVE!)

here are the ones from another 'rescue'

If any of you win the lotto and want to help chip in for hay, vet, or other supplies- let me know we have paypal now. paypal@serenityequinerescue.com

------------------------------------------------------------------------
IF ANYONE KNOWS ANYONE READY TO ADOPT A HORSE IN WASHINGTON, WE HAVE SOME TERRIFIC ONES AVAILABLE NOW (ALL HEALTHY AND READY TO GO) AT WWW.SERENITYEQUINERESCUE.COM/ADOPT

Sadly, Ginger didn't make it but there are loads of updates at www.serenityequinerescue.com

be sure to look at our New Arrivals page.

We've adopted several horses but there are several more needing homes.

It is so sad that they were allowed to get into that condition in the first place. Sorry to hear about Ginger.

You know what's really sad is these horses were in better shape BEFORE they were sent to Dean. I am so glad to hear they are getting a real chance now!

Yep, they are improving by miles and miles, but it takes a lot to turn a horse around after the kind of neglect these have faced. Most were so full of worms alone you wouldn't believe it. Well, horsewatcher, YOU would because you know!

I just fell in love with AJ......Sadly my parents are too restricting and my brother's allergies are too high to get a horse right now.

Your right Cowgirly i do know exactly how bad they are and how much time, care and money it takes to bring them back from that. It is extremly upsetting to see that two year old chesnut now because he was a completely healthy horse when arriving to PEC. I was shocked to see exactly how much he has changed with neglect and makes me wonder if something didnt happen to him in addition to the neglect. I was out there this weekend to personally thank Patricia. She has been a GOD sent to those horses. You can bet I will be out there to volunteer in the near future. BTW-Putter looks wonderful and her spark is back in her eyes

I know a lady who is similar. She thinks she is rescuing horses but can barely feed them . They often look better when they come then when they leave.

Glad to see horses getting rescued...gives me hope .

I too am working with a rescue (not officially) called "The Equamore Foundation". I get to groom all their rescues, keep them calm for the vet, gentle them, etc. Its a wonderful experience but can be tough.
