I don't know if she gaits but she has the most beautiful springy trot.

I'd love to see her tested for Tobiano and Frame.

IMHO, she could be a minimal Tobi where the Frame has pushed the white off her legs. I also strongly believe that it has to be Tobi because of the white coming into the mane.

Her face is definitely Splash, and the white leg is most likely Splash as well, but there might be Sabino influence, no way to know for sure.

I see NO SIGN whatsoever of tobiano on this foal. I also don't see anything saying gray. I see black, frame and splash (+ or - sabino).

tons and tons of overo only horses have white into the mane and over the back.

Isnt it only overo if the white crosses across the back anywhere past the whithers? that's the way it was taught to me...I'm probably wrong though...

BTW, beautiful filly!!

Just the opposite Vmars. Tobiano crosses the back, overo, as a rule, does not. Of course BOTH break the rules sometimes.

Paxo: JB knows that, but she feels it is not frame doing it, but splash or sabino or some combination... just not frame by itself.

Just the odds of 3 solid legs on a tobiano would be very remote however. not impossible only ever seen it in a mini horse, but slim chance in a full size.IMO

Yep, exactly. I know some disagree, and we'll never know until there are tests for everything and enough horses can be studied that only have 1 pattern, but I strongly feel that frame-only will not have any white crossing the center line (which also means no face white on the front of the head).

ryu's explanation of how white migrates gives very strong credence to this.

Forgot this part - just to add more info in case anyone was wondering - Sabino is not an Overo form, so Sabino can indeed have white cross the center line - not uncommon at all in a "wild" Sabino, and certainly is the case in a max white sabino.
