New Broodmare/ Buggs New Blanket Pics

We just got a new broodmare today. Shes a 16 year old TB in foal to Magic Walk. Shes lived outside for most of her life after she was done racing (thats why shes so shaggy!) She was afraid to come over to me so the pics are kinda far away! My filly Buggs is her new paddock buddy because Buggs likes everyone! I also took some pictures of Buggs' new blanket I bought her yesterday, I figured i'd better take pics while its clean (she'll come in all muddy, I just KNOW it!) I'll take some better pics of the new girl when I get to know her a bit and she trusts me. (Shes only been owned by one person her whole life and hasn't had much handling since shes lived outside). The last picture of Buggs isn't great because the fence got in the way, but I posted it because you can just see in her eye how sweet she is!

Thanks Im not looking forward to seeing the new blanket all muddy

Those two were running around bucking and acting crazy which is pretty good for an old broodmare heavily in foal Buggs will be a good friend for her. The man we got the chesnut from gave us a win picture from her racing days and she was beautiful. With a little TLC she'll be good as new

What a lovely mare and I have to say that I absolutely love Buggs. She looks awesome with her new blue blanket too. Just lovely.

I don't know too much about her just yet, but I saw some of her past offspring and they were just beautiful. Her last colt is very nice, big boned and very athletic! I hope to find out a bit more about her and her foals, shes due april 5th and if it looks like that colt we saw we will be keeping it to run I can't remember her registered name, but i'll find out tomorrow. She retired from racing at age 6 I think, after that she was a riding horse, then became a broodmare. I think shes had 3 or 4 foals

I think Buggs looks fantastic in blue!! I got her a new rain sheet (the blue one in the pics) a new stable blanket and a heavyweight for the winter. I donated my old stable and turnout blanket to a local rescue up the road from us.
