**NERVOUS* TJ Xray's Tommorrow

TJ has an appoitment at the vet's tommorrow to get her front legs xrayed before I list her for sale. She pulled her deep digital flexor tendons four years ago, had a year off, light work in the summer, then 6 months off, then trail riding for a year, and then this year we got down to business and started training and showing.

She's been sound with eggbars on and a glucosimine suppliment, but did get a bit sore a couple of times this year, and then I had her shoes pulled this week so that I could get the xrays done, and she's been quite sore since.

I'm just really scared that they are gong to tell me it's navicular or something worse and that I've ruined her and she'll never be sound again.

The fact that I'm trying to sell her is making me feel more guilty.

I'm just hoping for some HGS good luck vibes so I can report to you on Monday that she's sound and ready for a new family.

Good luck! May I ask if you have pictures of her feet? Long toes are a death sentence for tendon injuries, and unfortunately many farriers leave long toes.

I don't have pic of her feet...but when I was looking at them yesterday, I was thinking he went a bit short on the toe this time, and am hoping that is why shes tender. I'm also not used to seeing her barefoot anymore.

The long toes are part of how the injury happended in the first place.

The place i was boarding at had the farrier out every 4 weeks(without telling me, they just added it onto the bill) and he trimmed her heels down to nothing and left her toes long, then they mislabeled her halter and turned her out with all the old lesson horses(as a 3 year old) who ran her into the ground. I was unfortuatley out of the country for a couple of months and came back to a lame horse, and my emergency contact had never been contacted.

Anyways....The first year she was off after we finally discovered what it was..the farrier and I worked long and hard to keep the toe short and tried to rebuild her heel.
