| Needs a rehome situation
I have a little mare returning to me off companion lease as of the first of the month. She is an older mare and a real sweetheart....here's the problem. She is retired from our lesson string and has taught dozens of riders but 2 years ago she had gone through a couple episodes whereby the vet diagnosed her as narcoleptic. I personally think that it was more of a sleep deprivation narcolepsy but nonetheless I can no longer use her as a lesson horse. SHe hasn't had an episode in 2 years. My lessee can no longer use her and wishes to return her. I have no room at this point and no shelter for her to live outdoors 24/7. I of course have considered the option of putting her down but she is a pretty healthy horse otherwise. (I hate this part of horse ownership). Would anyone be willing to take this mare and provide her a good companion home? We are in Mid-MI.
