You were being more than fair offering this woman a two weeks return policy. Way too many things can go wrong with trial periods/payments. If she wasn't willing to pay for the horse (essentially a deposit since you did offer her a two week trial period!) or sign a contract spelling out the fact that she could return the horse within the first two weeks, I personally think she was either not terribly interested. Or, possibly, she might have hoped to get a free horse. You never know. She had nothing to lose...you did--the purchase price AND a horse! Good luck selling...and good for you for being so sensible about it. |
