The horse is in a WORKING TROT. Not enough impulsion for a Medium Trot, not enough extention for an extended trot, not enough collection and animation for a collected trot.

According to Member: TN WALKER ... "A rack is a gait preformed by many gaited horses. It is a fast, flashy 4-beat gait in which one hoof is on the ground at one time. It is very comfortable to ride and is very fast. A "racking" horse is a horse that has been registered with the Racking Horse Breeder's Association of America(or just a horse that preforms the rack gaits ) Check out this link to learn more: http://www.rackinghorse.com/" I was just totally guessing that the horse in the photo was racking because it appeared to have one foot on the ground, as I said, I'm new to the whole horse thing and am just trying to learn from this forum. |
