Question Myler Combination Bit

My new horse has been riding in this bit since they decided that she no longer liked a hackamore. For those of you fimilar with this bit what other bit would you try. I personally do not like this bit and I think that she would like something that does not apply pressure across her nose. She does neck rein but we need to work on it more but I have all winter before taking her on trails. Any advice would be appreciated.

My trainer uses one on her percheron, and had me get one to try on Azzy, but it just didn't work well for us. Not only did he not stop well, but the rawhide rubbed the hair off his nose, even after I soaked and molded it as suggested.

i also use the myler combination bit...my pony's pretty comfortable in it though. what sort of features are you looking for in the new bit?
you could get just a normal elevator bit without the combination attachment. or a pelham. If you're looking to downgrade a bit you could try a kimberwicke (also puts pressure on the chin w/the chain so that might help).
