How do I go about Contacting AQHA about it?
A letter, phone?
I bought a mare that was already pregnant, and the breeder had already sent everything in. Well, now that the foal is born, I have been waiting and contacting her about the papers, and turns out that she owes AQHA money so they won't send her the Breeder's C. or Application, and she won't pay it. But, the mare was in my name by the time she foaled, so is there any way I can get AQHA to send me her stuff? |
That is a tough situation. I know someone going thru the exact same situation with the same lady that I had problems with. He has contacted the aqha and they will not help him because he was not the owner of the mare at time of breeding or so he says, don't really know the whole story with him.
I would contact the aqha about it, give them a call have with your horse's reg number and explain the situation. You might also advise this person that you are seeking action against her with the aqha if she dosen't take care of it. Do you know if she filed a breeder's report? You can pm if you want to talk more about it.
I alreday had the app for reg and tranx from the breeder so I sent them and that's when I found out she had not done anything. The apha sent me a letter about it, I called her, tried to deal with her for a while did not get anywhere, so I called the apha, and they have taken care of it. What I would recommend is that you call the aqha and see if there is anything they can do to help. the problem I think you may have is that you were not the owner of the mare at breeding
