Talking My show pet peeve of the day...

Yesterday I was at a really big show and was in classes with ponies. My pet peeve was when kids on 12 hand ponies would push between me & the rail if they have a chance. It is like..uh see the 16.3 hand moose that I am on. he will step on your pony. It is a good thing Ashton is such a saint, he just moves over for them. I told her call the rail next time ok. (this was before judging started)

Yea, I don't like it when people just push you out of the way, it can really ruin your score b/c your horse goes sideways...I know some people just run them back into the rail haha.

I hate that!! Some girl was leaving room for a horse to come out of the ring and goes RIGHT BEHIND me and a bunch of my friends horses, one of which HATES other horses. it was just like "um... your horse is about to break a leg..."

HAHA!! I know exactly what you mean, Reebok used to have to have one in his tail when we went to pc, he used to kick all the pc ponies and all the kids would come galloping up behind him.. I got kicked of one of the teams because Reebok kicked a horse that went right up his backside and they decided I was too dangerous...

He never gets angry when we go to bid jumping comps though... LOL

Or punt it over the railing.
I had somebody decide to crowd my 16+ w/ their 15h; their horse was smarter'n they were & would only come SO close, which was very. I said "If my horse doesnt kick yours, I Will." and then "We're (all) coming up on a corner; we're (me) coming Out of that corner, toward you. You better not be There."
I think I said something to the judge after class @ X riding dirty; I was so angry.. Judge had noticed X, tactics, not in Xs favor.

i was at a walk-trot show (mind you) and there was probably 18 kids in the ring at once, and omg, this one english girl went inbetween all the western riders (myself included, it was a combined class) and the rail. then she'd cut us off, because heck, i dont stand a chance against a face paced throughbred, as opposed to my paint's show-jog. i was litterally hugging the rail, and she would squeeze inbetween the rail, and then cut infront of me. all the western riders talked after- and we decided that she was proposfully doing it, cause we couldnt pervent it. and our scores reflected it that day. luckily she didnt show up again

Im definitly not a fan of ridding at a show with people that dont watch or think what they are doing. People should always be wary, just because there horse wont kick my horse, doesnt mean my horse or any other horse wont kick them! It also rude, I mean when you are walking do you cut off the person walking near you, or push them out of the way! oh my. Oh and its not just kids, Ive seen many adults do rude and dangerous things in the warm up rings at Dressage shows.
