My mares due date is closer than I was first told

Well I got a visit from my friend who owns the stallion that my mare was bred to and we were talking about duedates and she told me that my mare is due the first of July, not the end. She was going over her breeding reports and found all her dates, so now I am kind worried because I was going by a certain scheadule for everything. I am going to call my vet on Monday and go over everything with him. Now I am a nervous wreck and extremely excited too. I am sure that all will turn out all right, I am just so nervous about everything after losing my pg mare in Nov.

My experience is that three months is plenty early if you are worried about feed and suppliements. Three months is when I try to get my mares on their special feed. I think you should be okay.

I am not as worried about feed as I am her shots and worming schedule. Her old owner thought she had been bred right before she came home but she had actually been bred on an earlier heat and kept where she was to make sure she had settled. I don't think I would be so freaked but this mare had problems with her first foal so i want to be prepared for anything this year. Thanks for the reply
