Angry My Legacy Boots on another persons horse!!!!

I am so upset right now!!! I had bought new Legacy boots for my horse this past spring. I only used them twice. And that's because they came up missing!! I was boarding my horse at a "friend's" house for the winter til late spring, and I always put my boots and bells on my stirrups when I'm done riding. So I know where they'd be. Well, one day they are there, next day gone. I thought maybe I missed placed them, or my kids put them somewhere. NO!! They ended up on my "friends" horse!!!! How I know this is because he always uses Classic boots and they are white, and mine are red. And he doesn't buy new stuff!!! I'm so mad right now I could bite through metal!!! So tomorrow, I'm going to politely ask for my boots back, that I have been searching for, for 2 months!!!! Has anyone ever taking anything of yours that they did not ask to borrow? How did you handle it when you discovered what happened to your missing piece of tack? Oh, and by the way, he has 2 of my girths too, I noticed them on his saddles, and I told him when he was through, I'd like them back! I'm sorry you guys, I just had to vent!! Thanks!

Get your horse the heck off this "friends" property. Take the things back if s/he doesn't give it back when you ask. It's your things, what s/he did was breaking the law.

Oh he's outta there!! I had move him to 50 acres in late spring. But this has been a good friend of ours that did this. I'm just disgusted!! I have a 3 yr. old filly I will be starting to ride, and I need those boots for her!!

just nicely ask for it back. dont want to start anything hardcore. be like "listen can i have my boots back?.........and next time i would really appreciate it if you ASKED me before you took it."

my friend used to use my saddle pad all the time. and then just dump it on the ground still soaking wet and covered in white hairs from the horse she rode. I simply took my pads home and when she came loking for it i was like " I know i said you could use my pad that one day, but i thought that was the only day you need it. can you please ASK me before you use anything else? i hate when people take my stuff with out asking. And even if you did use it w.o asking me. the fact that you left it in the condition it was in really got me upset. so next time just ask" and thats how i normally approach it.

not nice to have your things borrowed/stolen. we had a "friend" boarding her horse at our place and had stuff go missing (from our house, she stole my sisters bras, clothes, $, some other stuff) we found out and confronted her and she gave it all back and was in tears etc etc. we let her stay and never had any problems again. (stayed for several more years until she got out of riding) shes always been trouble tho that one.

When my sister and I boarded our horses, my sister's gelding's saddle pad was under a saddle that wasn't hers, and had black hair on it. Her gelding is sorrel and white. We asked the barn owner about it, and she said that the trainer was using it. I completely believe her to this day because I know she is a very honest and decent person, but this trainer was very 'hoity toity' and 'ritch b*tch' and 'get out of my way' type person. Thankfully, nothing was ever stolen, and the trainer was only there for a short period of time. Every day that we went to the stable, her pad would be under a different saddle. And it only happened during the time the trainer was there.

But, man, did it p*ss us off!

When I boarded, I had a REALLY nice, new western saddle. I came in one day to find it on another person's horse. I politely asked for them not to use my saddle, and they never did again. Maybe just politely asking him for him not to use your boots, and that way you can still have a place to board & your boots.
