Well I travelled down to see my cousins today and took a detour to meet up with pip15 and her mare.

We made a ton of progress in a very short space of time, were able to identify the problems and hopefully put in place some strategies to solve them. So with a bit of luck and sweat the flatwork will soon be back on track and I'll head back down in a month or two to deal with the jumping problems.

Another successful member meet up

It was, she's a nice little mare really, just with a very "young head" for a 6 year old, and easily stressed and frustrated because of that, pip15 identified the problem herself in an earlier post - both horse and rider getting more and more tense feeding off each others nerves. Very easy combination of horse and rider to work with though and I'm fairly sure most of the advice I gave went in so I have high hopes.

We'll be staying in touch.

Well done!
I got in on this post late. It reminds me of my favorite saying;

The tenser the horse gets.....the softer you ride.

Hope all progresses well.

Hey if you are actually serious about wanting some help with anything I'm sure we can work something out. I have free time to spare at the moment and I've been planning to go to Ireland for a holiday for a while. It seems crazy that I've been thousands of miles to America and Canada and never taken the ferry trip to the country next door.
Be happy to help with a few pony problems in exchange for bed and board. Anything in particular you need sorting out?
